To promote its Galaxy Z Flip4 smartphone, Samsung partnered with family experience innovators Camp to launch a one-of-a-kind AR activation in its flagship Toronto store. Can You Beat The Box saw participants suit up and enter the Box, attempting to zap floating AR balloons before they reached the ceiling. But the Box was not easily beaten. Missing too many virtual balloons had a very "IRL" consequence!
Working closely with Camp, NightLight helped envision the entire experience, developing an AR game tailor-made for the Z Flip4, and designing the game media environment at large. This included the game server, game media, external video monitors with player display and live scoreboard, player management system, and custom queueing and onboarding apps for Counselors.
NightLight also crafted a unique digital souvenir for guests, including video capture and email delivery system, to ensure they could relive their colorful defeat in super slow-mo, and easily share it with their friends.
